Getting to Raasay

The Caledonian MacBrayne ferry to Raasay leaves from Sconser on the Isle of Skye. The ferry runs a few times a day during the week and twice on Sundays.

Getting to Sconser

If you are travelling by car, Sconser is a five hour drive from Edinburgh or Glasgow. From Inverness, it is a 2 and a half hour drive. All three routes pass through some wonderful scenery and there are lots of fascinating places to stop for a break along the way.

Getting about on Raasay

Many people come to Raasay for a day trip. The main village of Inverarish, Raasay House and several beautiful sites can be enjoyed in a day’s walk.

If you want to explore the North of the island or get to Hallaig, you will need a bike or a car.

There is no public transport on Raasay but bikes can be hired from Raasay House.
